I got this straightener over a year ago when I had long hair. I’ll admit I couldn’t figure out how I was supposed to use it, so I put it on the shelf and forgot about it until recently when I cut my hair shorter. WOW! It’s amazing! I always dry my hair completely with a hair dryer before using my straightener, because I don’t want to damage my hair. I just love the way it flips my hair under or out and it stays like that all day! I am getting another one just incase anything happens to mine! I LOVE IT!

Conair S3CS Best Ever

I bought these flat irons while buying two pair of another brand (which had broken on me but they got really hot). To my surprise they worked EXTREMELY well on my hair when wet or when dry. I have very curly hair and to many people’s surprise I didn’t go to a salon…did it myself thanks to Conair. I kid you not: a miracle worker. It’s a process if using the wet setting because you have to do your whole head first while wet then turn the setting on dry and they do it all over again, but the dry setting will get your hair bone straight. I use either setting but if I use the wet setting, I have my other really great curlers on the side so every section that gets dried then gets straightened. Once done I just go over larger sections and I’m done. When my hair was to the middle of my back it took approximately 1-1/2 hours to complete. Now that my hair is neck length it takes about 30 minutes to get it completely done. I have to get a second pair just in case these burn out or break. So far so good.

I recently purchased this product and it is a wonderful hair straightener. The straightening plates are 2″, which provides a larger surface area and reduces the amount of time needed to complete your hair. At the same time, the plates are rounded and provide just the right amount of body to your hair as opposed to traditional flat straightening plates.

I had been using the Conair CS15TCS Professional Straight Styles Straightening Iron for a few years that I originally bought because it was inexpensive and worked fairly for seldom use on long hair.

Because my hair is short and I style it more precisely now it is imperative that the ends of my hair do not flip out and hang very straight, so I thought I would try this after I borrowed my friend’s.
Well, it worked like a charm! Now I don’t have to spend as much time blow drying and styling my hair with a round brush because this straightener really does most of the work. (Now I only have to use the round brush and dryer for volume.)

Pros:

* Heats quickly
* Maintains temperature
* Easy to handle and grasp
* Long cord that swivels to reduce tangling
* Can be used on wet to dry hair
* Low cost; Excellent value!
* Does what is says!

Cons:

* On the hotter settings (Levels 25-30), the plates are so hot that I am not able to grasp the unit nearer to the top for better control. But this is probably due to the design (the vents for use on wet hair release a lot of heat).

Some things to keep in mind:

This straightener was $25 and made in China, so I wouldn’t expect it to have the quality or life expectancy of a $150 straightener. I wouldn’t say it is “chintzy,” though.
For the price and the results, the value is excellent!

Also, this unit gets very hot on the higher settings! So hot that it will burn some people’s hair, especially if it is thin, dry, or brittle. Of course, that is the price you pay for heat styling, so proper precautions should be taken (conditioners, heat protection lotions/serum, etc).

I love this straightener. My sister had one and I couldn’t find it in stores. Was glad to see it on the Amazon site. Worth it’s weight in gold. Great for straightening, adding curves and volume. I highly recommend, although I would never consider using any straightener on wet hair.

Conair Flat Iron Excellent product and low price!

I just got this product and I love it. The curved plates helps curl my ends under but not much it is just right. I had bought a straightener recently for $150.00 and it did not work that great for the money so I returned it. This one was so much cheaper and works like a charm. Great buy!!

Conair Flat Iron Great Buy

I have had no problem with this iron. I got it so that I could curl my ends easily and flip out the ends also. The flipping out has been difficult for me to get the hang of but that’s probably me and not the iron’s fault. But when I just want to quickly curl my hair under it does a quick and beautiful job! When I use the wet/dry feature it’s just because my hair is damp and I don’t have the time to dry it 100% of the way. I don’t expect the iron to dry my hair but it DOES flatten and curl it even while damp when I use that button. My hair comes out shiny and lovely in a flash with this iron. Not really any ripping or damage at all. Of course I use a leave in conditioner/volumizer before I heat style my hair and I set it to a heat setting of “15″. Great buy for a reasonable price, love the curve of the plates and even the red color and look of the appliance. I wouldn’t trade it in for a more expensive Chi or whatever even if I were rich!

I have semi-long straight hair and am a stay home mother of two young children so I don’t have a lot of time to style my hair. I bought this because a friend of mine had a similar one that I used when we were together on vacation. This is much smaller than hers but I love it! Heats up fast. Easy to use. Doesn’t tangle in my hair or pull my hair out like some of the large flat irons. Compact and can fit in my diaper bag or purse for traveling. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick easy fix for straight hair.

I have short hair with bangs that want to curl under. I use the flat iron to straighten bangs and also for a little lift at the roots on top.
I love this little thing and used it every day. It heats quickly and I’m on my way.

Conair Flat Iron Works perfectly.

I have tried many different types of curling irons, finally settled on this little one (which is, ironically, not a curling iron)! I get long, straight and normal hair, and this little one can curl my hair nicely. If I want bigger waves, I just quickly slide it through my hair. If I want tighter curves, I just keep it on my hair a little longer. The small size is actually a plus in this case – I tried another flat iron with 1-inch width, but at the end I prefer this smaller size (0.5-inch width) for easy manipulation. I haven’t tried it for straightening, since my hair is pretty straight already. But as a curling tool, this rocks.

There is no temperature control, however, I just need to test it out a little to get the right timing to curl my hair. Temperature is important, but timing is also crucial.

Another big plus is it’s dual voltage, with a heat resistant pouch for storage. Nice touch.

The only downside is (I guess with many styling irons) that the end can get hot. I need to hold the end since I am doing curling, not straightening. No biggie, I shall just get a heat resistant glove.

N.B. If you want to know how to curl with a flat iron, just search on the internet. Very easy to do.

I have bought this iron on a whim, when it was available at the local grocery store in the ‘sale bin’… originally I had no other use or purpose for it, other than maybe taking it on some trips, so I do not have to pack my lot bigger (1″) flat iron.

Turns out it became my regularly and exclusively used hair straightener. I still do not understand why it works so much better than all the other irons I have used. I have owned Revlon and Vidal Sassoon before and even went and bought another (bigger) Conair, thinking maybe each model of Conair brand is better…
I should point out I never used Farouk CHI, so I cannot vouch for that one, however none of the other flat irons I have used has done as great job as this small Conair unit does in creating the natural look, while being easy, fast and simple to use.
I have quite a short hair, and get it usually done under five minutes. The final look is natural, sleek, healthy and somewhat shiny looking and it lasts several days (I wash my hair about twice a week at the most).

I had to return the bigger (1 inch) Conair, and quit using my Revlon iron, as both of them took A LOT more time to go through my hair, and each time the end result just look somewhat off… the straightened hair never looked quite right, it did not look smooth enough and did not last very long.

Once again, I cannot quite explain exactly HOW or WHY does this iron do so much better job, that other irons – it just does.
Currently priced at $15 – it’s an investment gloriously worth making and I will be buying another one as a back up!

This mini pro ceramic is better than my Chi flat iron. My base hair color is grey and of course salon dyed dark blonde, light brown with highlights. Lately it was getting to be impossible to blow dry and manage my soft wavy hair. I cut it short and the problem got worse. All this until yesterday….Magic, I purchased the conair mini and my bangs and layered hair are sleek, shiney, straight, but mostly ironed just right without burning my processed hair. I am going to buy one or two more and keep them at home, office, and everywhere. LOVE IT!!! 5 BIG STARS
