hey guys…babyliss was gifted by my hubby for valentines day…nd i really really loved it..i never had a good nd expensive straightner nd was really impressed wid this gift…( thanks to amazon for sending this product in two days..im very satisfied with them)..it works really well for my weavy hair …my cousin suggested this to me nd thanks a ton to her..they work perfect..wat i liked the most abt babyliss is you can regulate the temp based on hair type were as most of other expensive straigtners dont have that option..nd additional 4year warranty..:))..nd ur hair stays straight for two days till u wash ur hair..nw i straighten my mother in laws hair ,she’s loving it ..plannin to buy one for her too..forgot to mention my cousin had a chi straightner nd she was nt satisfied with it nd bought babyliss a year later.she complained that chi straightner had some voltage issues..it helped me coz i was confused if i shd buy a chi or babyliss coz chi had the popularity nd brand name n guess i made the right choice of buyin babyliss…:))…hope my review will help someone

I love this flat iron. It is magnificently slim and effectively hot. As the other reviews have listed, this iron does not have to set on the highest heat temperature to perfectly straighten your hair. This iron flattens perfectly when your hair is tangled, wavy, or even a little damp. I have two FHI’s and one other iron. This flat iron is my favorite. Be careful though, due to the thinness of the iron you may burn your finger if you don’t grab the iron properly when curling. I am in love with my Babybliss and I am very happy with this purchase. I was quite skeptical with the capabilities of this product but after using this flat iron, it has proved its effectiveness. If you invest in this iron, you are investing in perfectly straightened hair in record time.

Great flat iron, I was surprised at the quality for the price, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, but I got so much MORE when I received this flat iron! I have only ever owned CHI flat irons, and never spent less than $300 on one… now I feel like a fool! The only reason I looked at Babyliss irons was because the salon I get my hair done at every few weeks used a Babyliss on my hair and I really liked the bounce and movement my hair had… it seemed like my Chi left it a bit stiff. I am of mixed race, bi-racial so I am half black+ half white= AMAZING (lol)… but I have super thick, kinky, hard to manage hair but this iron gets nice and hot leaving my hair silky straight. I wouldn’t turn it onto the highest temp because it does get so hot, but I love the fact that I have the option. It heats up really really fast too, which I love because I don’t hae time to waste warming up a flat iron in the morning. When I read the reviews where people were complaining about it getting so hot, it made me want it MORE! It is a very sleek looking iron, with shiny chrome looking plates that I make sure to clean after every use. This is one of the best values I’ve received on Amazon and I do tons of online, and in person shopping. The iron got here super fast, was packaged extremely well, and I am thrilled with it. The iron heats up fast and temperatures range pretty high. I have medium long polynesian hair so I didnt have to run it through my hair too long. The straightening lasted a long time. For me though I would go with a smaller inch for better control. 1.5 or 1.25

BaByliss Pro Flat Iron OMG- instantly straight hair!

I have extremely, curly, kinky hair, and consider straightening just for the occasional salon “treat”. Not anymore! This iron heats up so fast, and straightens with no products or chemicals. Only one-pass through the hair “almost” does the trick. I upgraded to this iron, from an older one that I wasn’t truly able to straighten all my hair quickly with. I mostly used it for touch-ups after going to the salon- I think I will go straight more often now.

BaByliss PRO Hair Straightener AWESOME!

After much consideration, I reluctantly ordered this flat iron as a gift for my teen aged daughter. We have been a CHI family and I was unhappy with the fact that shortly after I purchased my Chi the cord started to short circuit and eventually it just died. My daughter has a head FULL of hair that’s super thick and is naturally curly/wavy and usually very hard to tame. The sheer amount of hair on her head is one problem, let alone the thickness and coarseness of it is a whole other issue. She has a tough time straightening her hair just because it takes SO long and there is so much of it. I was really hesitant to buy a flat iron that I knew nothing about but I read several great reviews of this one, and even found it at Ulta and talked to a few of the styling ladies there who said they had used it and it worked very, very well. There was a light mishap with the shipping (bad weather delayed its arrival by a few days but it arrived before Christmas so it was fine) but the item was exactly what I ordered. I loved the fact that this has titanium plates and was 1.75″ plates – 3/4″ larger than the Chi we had. I also liked that it had a temperature control so you could select what setting you want because I have very fine hair and didn’t want to scorch my hair if I needed to use this iron. She was really hesitant and was set on getting a Chi so I told her to go upstairs and just try it out to see. She came down maybe 20 minutes later with the softest, silkiest and STRAIGHTEST hair I’ve ever seen her with. She said that she LOVED it and it was so easy to use and FAST… literally ONE PASS with each section of hair. Granted, she used the hottest setting but her hair was super shiny and soft. I used the iron later the same day and set the temp on 375 and it worked like magic on my hair, too! My hair is much more fine but I have quite a bit so it didn’t take me longer than 15 minutes to completely straighten my hair. It was PIN straight and I received several comments/compliments from our friends at dinner that night! We both also loved the fact that this iron does NOT grab or pull your hair like the Chi does. I used to get so irritated because no matter how gentle I was, I still ripped out hair after hair using my old Chi and this one didn’t pinch or pull at ALL.

I cannot recommend this highly enough and I strongly urge you to set your concerns aside and give this product a try. I was a big Chi fan….until I found this! I don’t think I will ever purchase another Chi iron again!

X5 Superlite 400F I loved this flat iron.

Ugh, I loved this flat iron. After 5 years of use it died. I had purchased it at a beauty supply store in LA at the recommendation of the owner. It was great! Reliable, light, easy to use. Loved the floating plates because my hair always slid through smoothly; it never got caught or snagged. (that’s the thing I hate most when I try other flat irons.)

Since it bit the dust, I was looking at flat irons to buy and the choices are mind-boggling. When I looked at the X5 company website, it seems like a small little company, but I thought this flat iron was great quality. Though I was at first tempted to buy a different brand (like CHI or one of the big guys), I loved this iron and it’s features. I decided to get the newer version of this one. I hope I like it as much as this older model, though. X5, live up to my high expectations, please!!!!

FHI Heat Techique G2 great

I never thought I would spend this type of money on flat irons bu I’m glad that I did. They heat perfectly and adjust to the texture of my natural hair and the weave I have. I was worried because my real hair is thin and I didn’t want it to burn off but there were no issues there at all. I really think I’m going to take my flat iron to the salon and have tthem use them on my hair. One recomendation is DON’T USE ANY PRODUCT BESIDES LEAVE IN CONDITIONER WHEN USING THESE FLAT IRONS! I sa
y that becuse u don’t wana mess up the plates I learned that from past irons. Ur hair comes out soft smooth and silky with out product. Use it after u iron.

FHI Heat Techique G2 AWESOME!

I have a 1″ FHI iron and love it. I have extremely think wavy hair and looks like I was born with straight hair after using. It says right in the description that it heats up to over 400 degrees. It also doesn’t state that it has a temperature control, which it doesn’t, and it shouldn’t. In order for a flat iron to be really effective at straightening hair, it has to get HOT and this one does. It is a great iron. I had mine for over 2 years before the cord got a short and am ordering a new one.

FHI Heat Techique Love it

I have purchased a number of flat irons from department/drug stores and have been increasingly dissatisfied with them. Most seem to be heavy, clunky and never heat up enough. I purchased the FHI iron because my hairdresser highly recommends this brand. I like it because it is lightweight, heats up quickly and does a fast and efficient job of straightening my hair. My only caution would be that it does not have an auto shut-off, so you cannot assume that it will turn off if left plugged in. Other than that, I am glad I made this purchase.
