Remington S9951 Great flat iron for an even better price.

The Remington flat iron has outdone all the flat irons I have used in the past from Hot Tools to Solia (equivalent to Chi or Sedu). Along with the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, this one gets my approval too!

It left my hair frizz free even in many days worth of rain and high winds. My hair also feels smooth and soft 3 days after ironing it. I would recommend you use an anti-frizz treatment (I use John-Frieda) since you will be heating the cuticles of your hair. But overall this one definetly is a keeper and well worth more than the $50 being paid for.

Having curly and often frizzy hair, I have always been skeptical about products that promise frizz-free hair. When I read the review of this Flat Iron in Good Housekeeping, I was so impressed with the rave reviews that I purchased it at Amazon. By George, the thing really works! Not only did it work quickly with minimal damage to my hair, but it left my hair looking shiny, straight and silky and it lasted over several days even in rainy, humid weather. Bravo, Remington! I have since recommended this flat iron to all my friends and those who bought it love it too.

I have tried just about everything on amazon for frizzy hair. People have raved about so many products to try etc. and they did NOT work for my hair. THIS was great. It made my hair smooth and kept my hair soft until my next wash. AMAZING! A must buy!

This flat iron is awesome. I had bought a Solia Flat Iron and spent $80 and didn’t think it worked much better than my $20 Conair that broke so I returned it and after much research, I decided to purchase this one at Target and it’s well worth it.

Remington S9951 Flat Iron Best Deal

I really like this flatiron! It does get hotter than my old one(you can adjust the temperature too), so use a heat protective product when you style. I have very curly hair, which normally means straightening every day; but my hair stayed straight for several days in a row, through sleeping on it and wearing a stocking hat in the cold. I would definitely buy another. The order process went smoothly and the package came promptly and boxed well.

Remington S9951 Flat Iron WOW!

An absolutely tremendous product! After years of fighting frizz in my coarse/wavy/curly hair, I am thrilled with the results from this iron. My hairdresser told me that the Gold Standard of frizz control is to use John Freida, frizz control serum on your wet hair, comb through and let dry naturally. This resulted in hair that was very smooth and shiny. Once dry, I used a straightening iron to finish it off. This has worked very well yet once exposed to humidity, the “set” was compromised. Now though, with the Remington, the “set”, smoothness and shine is maintained after being exposed to humid conditions. It has greatly reduced the frequency of “touch-ups” and I’m thrilled not to have to put a hot ANYTHING to my hair very often! You won’t be disappointed!

I have pretty curly hair but I thought I would give this a try after seeing the reviews in Good Housekeeping (got the seal of approval). I had trouble finding it b/c everyone was sold out of it but I got it today and so far I love it. I straightened all of my hair in less than 10 minutes from being curly. I must add that I was in the steamy bathroom while my shower was running and it did not phase my hair. I gets supper hot, I love the digital display, and the power off function is great so you don’t turn it off by mistake. It also gets hot really fast-almost immediately.

I first read about this flat iron in Good Housekeeping magazine. They claimed that it performed at 100% in all of their testing. They put hair samples in a humidity controlled room for 15 hours and measured the frizz among samples treated with frizz serum and a regular flat iron and this iron with no product. This product by itself won by far. That was quite impressive so I decdided to give it a try. I bought mine at Target for $49.99.

First, let me say that I have very fine textured hair that is a little below my shoulders so it is pretty easy to straighten with any flat iron. My trouble has been that after an hour (even with product & hairspray) it will become wavy again. There was definitely a noticeable difference using this tool. My hair did not frizz and stayed much straighter for a longer periid of time.

Also worth noting, it heats up in about 60 seconds and beeps to let you know it has reached the desired setting. You have to hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn it off which is helpful because I was always accidentally hitting it while straightening my hair on my old iron. Another plus, the heating plate rocks so that you don’t snag pieces of your hair.

Remington Flat Iron AWESOME!

I’ve never felt so strongly about a product after one use, but this is a great flat iron. I have thick, fine,curly hair and have used an expensive Chi flatiron for many years. I hate to say it, but this $50 straightener is better than my $140 Chi. Two negative comments, it gets really hot and unlike my Chi you can burn your head if you get too close to the roots. It is also easy to accidentally change the heat settings as the buttons are on the main grip. Otherwise, based on ability to straighten hair, this is a keeper!

Remington Flat Iron Great Product

I have tried flat irons over the years and have had no luck – my hair is thick and course. I bought the Remington S9951 Shine Therapy Frizz Control because of ratings in Good Housekeeping Magazine and the reviews on line. I love it! I like the fact that I can regulate the temperature and that it heats fast. I wash my hair less because styling lasts for a couple of days and my hair is healthier for it. The only downside is that my electric lights pulse when the iron is on – I guess it draws a lot of juice. Make sure you plug into a surge protected outlet. I highly recommend this product!
