This review is for the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium Wet-To-Dry 1.5″ Flat Iron. My stylist uses the Babyliss flat iron and I’m always so pleased with how straight she gets my hair. I had originally purchased the much more expensive FHI Heat (The Runway) flat iron, which is suppose to be their top of the line flat iron. It retails for roughly $400 or so. Let me just say that no one can go wrong with this very reasonably price Babyliss flat iron. It’s get my hair extremely straight and be careful because it gets very hot as well. I’m an African American woman with very coarse hair. I can pass through my hair once with this and my hair lies very flat. With its thin appearance, it allows me to get very close to my scalp and straighten my roots. I contemplated whether I should get the wet-to-dry flat iron or the standard one. Spend the extra $5 and purchase the wet-to-dry. It’s worth it. I highly recommend this product for all ethnicities.

I love this flat iron. It is magnificently slim and effectively hot. As the other reviews have listed, this iron does not have to set on the highest heat temperature to perfectly straighten your hair. This iron flattens perfectly when your hair is tangled, wavy, or even a little damp. I have two FHI’s and one other iron. This flat iron is my favorite. Be careful though, due to the thinness of the iron you may burn your finger if you don’t grab the iron properly when curling. I am in love with my Babybliss and I am very happy with this purchase. I was quite skeptical with the capabilities of this product but after using this flat iron, it has proved its effectiveness. If you invest in this iron, you are investing in perfectly straightened hair in record time.

Great flat iron, I was surprised at the quality for the price, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, but I got so much MORE when I received this flat iron! I have only ever owned CHI flat irons, and never spent less than $300 on one… now I feel like a fool! The only reason I looked at Babyliss irons was because the salon I get my hair done at every few weeks used a Babyliss on my hair and I really liked the bounce and movement my hair had… it seemed like my Chi left it a bit stiff. I am of mixed race, bi-racial so I am half black+ half white= AMAZING (lol)… but I have super thick, kinky, hard to manage hair but this iron gets nice and hot leaving my hair silky straight. I wouldn’t turn it onto the highest temp because it does get so hot, but I love the fact that I have the option. It heats up really really fast too, which I love because I don’t hae time to waste warming up a flat iron in the morning. When I read the reviews where people were complaining about it getting so hot, it made me want it MORE! It is a very sleek looking iron, with shiny chrome looking plates that I make sure to clean after every use. This is one of the best values I’ve received on Amazon and I do tons of online, and in person shopping. The iron got here super fast, was packaged extremely well, and I am thrilled with it. BaByliss Pro Flat Iron OMG- instantly straight hair!

I have extremely, curly, kinky hair, and consider straightening just for the occasional salon “treat”. Not anymore! This iron heats up so fast, and straightens with no products or chemicals. Only one-pass through the hair “almost” does the trick. I upgraded to this iron, from an older one that I wasn’t truly able to straighten all my hair quickly with. I mostly used it for touch-ups after going to the salon- I think I will go straight more often now.

BaByliss PRO Hair Straightener AWESOME!

After much consideration, I reluctantly ordered this flat iron as a gift for my teen aged daughter. We have been a CHI family and I was unhappy with the fact that shortly after I purchased my Chi the cord started to short circuit and eventually it just died. My daughter has a head FULL of hair that’s super thick and is naturally curly/wavy and usually very hard to tame. The sheer amount of hair on her head is one problem, let alone the thickness and coarseness of it is a whole other issue. She has a tough time straightening her hair just because it takes SO long and there is so much of it. I was really hesitant to buy a flat iron that I knew nothing about but I read several great reviews of this one, and even found it at Ulta and talked to a few of the styling ladies there who said they had used it and it worked very, very well. There was a light mishap with the shipping (bad weather delayed its arrival by a few days but it arrived before Christmas so it was fine) but the item was exactly what I ordered. I loved the fact that this has titanium plates and was 1.75″ plates – 3/4″ larger than the Chi we had. I also liked that it had a temperature control so you could select what setting you want because I have very fine hair and didn’t want to scorch my hair if I needed to use this iron. She was really hesitant and was set on getting a Chi so I told her to go upstairs and just try it out to see. She came down maybe 20 minutes later with the softest, silkiest and STRAIGHTEST hair I’ve ever seen her with. She said that she LOVED it and it was so easy to use and FAST… literally ONE PASS with each section of hair. Granted, she used the hottest setting but her hair was super shiny and soft. I used the iron later the same day and set the temp on 375 and it worked like magic on my hair, too! My hair is much more fine but I have quite a bit so it didn’t take me longer than 15 minutes to completely straighten my hair. It was PIN straight and I received several comments/compliments from our friends at dinner that night! We both also loved the fact that this iron does NOT grab or pull your hair like the Chi does. I used to get so irritated because no matter how gentle I was, I still ripped out hair after hair using my old Chi and this one didn’t pinch or pull at ALL.

I cannot recommend this highly enough and I strongly urge you to set your concerns aside and give this product a try. I was a big Chi fan….until I found this! I don’t think I will ever purchase another Chi iron again!

Remington S6500 Best straightener I’ve ever tried.

This is such an amazing straightener!!! I tried sooo many straighteners hoping to find one that was easy to use, actually worked well and wasn’t too pricey, and this one was perfect. It heats up really fast, and straightens my hair in about 15 minutes, which is good for before school. Unfortunately, it stopped heating, and I have no idea why!! Definitely will be replacing it with a new Remington.

Remington S6500 Favorite straightener, true to its name !

I’ve had this straightener for more than 2 years now, maybe even longer but I can’t recall. It’s served me really well! As far as straighteners go, it definitely does it’s job and I find it’s even better than most straighteners because it is curved in order to curl your hair with it. I say this because the best way to straighten your hair is to actually pull it at an angle and curve your hair a little, rather than pulling straight down. This leverage and tension against your hair along with the heat makes a big difference in how your hair turns out, so even if you’re only interested in straightening your hair I think this is perfect for that. The plates go onto the edge, which is awesome for straightening as well as curling. You really can’t curl your hair properly with any plain old straightener, even expensive ones like the CHI straighteners. It has to be properly built for it or else you get random bends in your hair. It heats up very well and you can control the heat very easily with the dial. There is a tiny bit of room at the end to hold with your fingers while styling, so you don’t burn yourself but I wouldn’t mind if it was a little wider. That’s one con, and I only have one other: you must be careful not to drop this straightener and make scratches on the sides of the ceramic plates or your hair will start to snag. I had very minor hair snagging before I dropped my straightener, but now I do occasionally pull a hair out. That’s my own fault though because I didn’t pay attention to the plate overlap. Lightweight and easy to travel with (you can lock it shut with a turn of the side knob). Overall, amazing straightener that provides soft and sleek straight as well as curled hair

So this is my first flat iron, and I payed with my own money. Well…I LOVE IT(: At first, I wasn’t so sure about getting one because of the fear of frying my hair and of not knowing how to use it. But I just bought some heat protectant (TRESemme /cheap and works well), and the Remington Sleek & Curl comes with a nice, handy DVD. So all is well. Also, I didn’t want to get something that didn’t work. No worries: it works finee. Plus, the Remington is at a fair price–not expensive like most other irons. I am happy with it, and you would be too if you get it!

Well I am African American (I wear extensions!). Ive been trying to find the perfect straighter for my hair for years. Ive went through Chi’s, and the most expensive brands out there. However, I decided to give the Remington a try and WOW. my Hair is so silky and straight. It straigthens my real hair and my extensions. I feel like I just walked out of the salon and spent over 300dollars on my hair. I love this straigther. I hope they never stop making it.

Remington S6500 Sleek and Curl Great for the price!

I did a lot of research and found bad reviews for the expensive flat irons that had 1 year or no warranty. I bought this one for about $40 and it has a 4 year warranty! It is the second iron I have owned and this one is leagues better than my last one. My hair is thick, wavy and prone to get fuzzy and big. The flat iron heats up quickly, works perfectly and it small enough to be kept in my gym bag. I’ve gotten so many compliments on my hair afterwards that I have started using it every time I wash my hair. Even if I don’t want to completely straighten it, the iron keeps it from looking too fuzzy. I would highly recommend getting a heat resistant pouch with a separate pocket for the cord. It does take a while to cool down and sometimes you just wanna throw it in your bag and go.

Remington Flat Iron FANTASIC!

I bought my dual-voltage version in Europe which for my purposes is fantastic because I travel quite a bit. I didn’t know a U.S. version was available – the one listed appears NOT to be dual-voltage. The one I bought was approx. $80 (in April 2011), which for me was a bargain for what it did. Mine goes up to 230 degrees Centigrade, which should be 446 degrees Fahrenheit though the exact temperature is not known using U.S. voltage. All I know is that it does a great job, heats up in very little time, takes 8 minutes for my thick hair at two settings below the maximum (I have twice as much hair as the average girl), it straightens/curls in the same amount of time, the lock feature is great, the locked-close feature is great, and the hold-temp feature isn’t necessary but I use it just in case. I see steam coming off of it but in my experience this is because the temperature is high enough for my hair type. Without steam, a flat iron wouldn’t be effective. The plates are rounded and gentle on my hair – no pulls, and the plate is an inch longer than standard to accommodate more hair. My hair doesn’t appear to be damaged at all by the high heat.

I’m super happy with this model and for the price offered here, a steal!

Remington BEST FLAT IRON OF LIFE

Its the best Flat iron i have ever owned. My hair has gotten caught a few times but that is prob on me and not on the flat iron. It heats up rapidly and it indicates that is heating up with a blinking indicator and that stop blinking once it is ready (this is beside the temp gauage that is digital). I love it and recommend it to all. The curls tend to be easier made by doing a barrel rather than the ribbon twist as suggested by the dvd. The dvd is also very informative.

I’ve owned A LOT of flat irons. Most of them pull my hair or damage my hair very badly! I must say I like this flat iron a lot but not as much as my old revlon flat iron. It is very nice and does a great job though.

Remington S9520 Straight & Smooth with no Snags…. Super!

I have never straightened my hair before I got this… not because I don’t need to (I have wavy hair that tends to frizz) but because I’m lazy about my hair. But I figured I’d give it a shot when I was offered the straightener on Vine.

First of all, even for a novice like me, it was very easy to work. It was also convenient… it gets hot fast and has a cool swivel cord. But best of all, it made my hair so sleek and pretty! I kept looking at myself in the mirror! And it didn’t snag or snarl as I smoothed the plates down the strands.

To me it seemed perfect, but since I had no basis for comparison I had my college-aged niece take it for a spin. She said she liked it as much as her straightener which cost $100. Cool.

Am I still lazy about my hair? You betcha…. a straightener can’t fix that. BUT I like the ease and result of this straightener enough that I will break it out for special occasion dressup-y events.

The Remington Straightener with pearl plates is a convenient tool for all with hair. It is easy to set up and use, so even I was able to style my hair.

I have never been very good with hair products or tools. Everyone I know has amazing hair and they always say they did it with a straightener, so I thought I would give it a try.

It is very pretty, pearl pink plates and a sleek black design makes it an attractive bathroom accessory. You plug it in and turn it on and use a digital screen to adjust the temp. It took just a couple of minutes to warm up and use. The best feature is the cord actually swivels!! So as you twist and turn the straightener, you are not caught in the cord. The temp stayed hot throughout styling, but the plastic did not. So it was easy to touch and manipulate.

I still have not gotten the hang of curling my hair with this straightener, but I think I need some more practice.

Very cute, good quality, and easy to use: recommended.

Remington S9520 Best straightener my wife has used.

When this became available on Vine, I was quick to pick it up for my wife. She has naturally curly hair, and while I love it (I almost cringe whenever she starts straightening it), she often goes through a lot to get it looking like she wants. After using it a few times she was very much a fan of the S9520 and declared it the “best straightening iron” she’s ever owned. That sounds like high praise to me.

She likes how the S9520′s wide plates just seem to glides through her hair without snagging in places the way some of her other irons have. Between how quickly it heats up and how much less time she spends, it’s definitely a time saver too. She’s able to get superior results in half the time with this. It’s definitely built solidly too. She commented on that, so I picked it up (that’s about all I can do with it after all) and it was surprisingly solid and well-made.

All-in-all, I’m very happy that I was able to pick up the Remington S9520 Ceramic Hair Straightener for my wife. It gets a lot of use and is working just as well as when she first used it 4 months ago.

After my old, basic straightener died, I decided it was time to invest in a high quality product that would be better for my hair and save me some time. I ordered a name brand, expensive flat iron and was not impressed. My hair appeared dry, broken and still maintained much of it’s natural wave. I have thick, wavy hair- that isn’t usually too difficult to straighten, so I was disappointed. I ended up purchasing the Remington Pearl from Target for no reason other than desperation…WOW! This product immediately improved the overall look and feel of my hair. I can’t remember the last time I was this happy with the way my hair looks!

Remington Hair Straightener Fastest iron I’ve ever had.

I have a lot of thick, long, mildly wavy hair which i straighten every 2 or 3 days. I love how this iron leaves my hair shiny, soft and stays completely straight for up to 3 days without having to retouch it (i wash my hair about 3 times a week because over washing your hair actually damages it).

I also like the fact that my hair doesn’t smell like burned like with other cheap flat irons I’ve had and the wide plates make it so fast to straighten the hair is like a miracle. i’ve used a CHI iron for over 4 years and also own a Cortex my mom got me at TJMaxx and no doubt this one is far better!!

X5 Superlite 400F I loved this flat iron.

Ugh, I loved this flat iron. After 5 years of use it died. I had purchased it at a beauty supply store in LA at the recommendation of the owner. It was great! Reliable, light, easy to use. Loved the floating plates because my hair always slid through smoothly; it never got caught or snagged. (that’s the thing I hate most when I try other flat irons.)

Since it bit the dust, I was looking at flat irons to buy and the choices are mind-boggling. When I looked at the X5 company website, it seems like a small little company, but I thought this flat iron was great quality. Though I was at first tempted to buy a different brand (like CHI or one of the big guys), I loved this iron and it’s features. I decided to get the newer version of this one. I hope I like it as much as this older model, though. X5, live up to my high expectations, please!!!!
